Who We Are
Warrior Legacy Ranch was born in 2020 when two Marine veterans from 1st Battalion, 6th Marines (CAAT Platoon, 2004) began bi-weekly Zoom calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. What started as virtual check-ins evolved into a powerful reunion after 17 years apart—rekindling bonds, sharing untold stories, and inspiring new connections among veterans and their families. The experience highlighted the deep need for a dedicated space where veterans and first responders could gather, heal, and support one another—without the burden of high costs.
From that vision, the Gulf Coast Veteran Resource Center (GCVCRC) at Warrior Legacy Ranch was founded to serve the Gulf Coast’s high concentration of veterans and first responders. With over 26,000 veterans in Baldwin County alone and a rising need for mental health support, GCVCRC provides 24/7 peer-to-peer services, crisis response, and essential resources to improve mental health, reduce veteran unemployment, and prevent suicide.
Together, WLR and GCVCRC stand as a beacon of connection, healing, and purpose for those who’ve served—and their families.
